Consulting Services; Texas Rescue provides many types of consulting services. We can help you evaluate your site for Confined Spaces and Permit Required Confined Spaces. We can develop detailed rescue plans for all of your confined spaces.

 

Texas Rescue can evaluate your in house rescue team or your outside rescue service to insure that they are capable and properly equipped to provide entry rescue services at your facility as per OSHA 29 CFR 1910.146 (k) (1)

 

“An employer who designates rescue and emergency services, pursuant to paragraph (d)(9) of this section SHALL:

 

1910.146 (k)(1)(i): Evaluate a prospective rescuer’s ability to respond to a rescue summons in a timely manner, considering the hazard(s) identified;

 

Note to paragraph (k)(1) (i): What will be considered timely will vary according to the specific hazards involved in each entry. For example 1910.134, Respiratory Protection, requires that employers provide a standby person or person capable of immediate action to rescue employee(s) wearing respiratory protection while in work areas defined as IDLH atmospheres.

 

1910.146 (k)(1)(ii) Evaluate a prospective rescue service’s ability, in terms of proficiency with rescue related tasks and equipment, to function appropriately while rescuing entrants from the particular permit space or types of permit spaces identified;”

 

Texas Rescue can set up a mock scenario at your location that is representative of the spaces you have on site, and evaluate your current rescue service. We can also review their certifications and training documents to insure they are up to date and meet all of the required standards. We can also inspect their equipment to insure that it meet all of the applicable standards, and have the required documentation.

 

Other Consulting Services; Texas Rescue can act as a third party to inspect your harness, lanyards, SRL’s, and other related safety and rescue equipment.

 

Texas Rescue can review your current Confined Space safety program(s), permit process, etc., to insure that they are compliant with all applicable standards.
